Haluan Hip-Hop Dance Troupe is a hip-hop dance team based under the Filipino Student Association at UC Santa Cruz. As the only competitive hip-hop team on campus, Haluan has been a staple of the dance community within our university as well as the rest of Santa Cruz for 23 years now. This team has worked hard to make an impact in the lives of our team members and for the greater community. We want to do the most we can to ensure we provide the same home for future students and community members. We are raising as much as we can in the next few months to prepare for the remainder of the year. Our En Route Dance Showcase, which began last year and was just presented again this April, was the first urban dance show of its kind in Santa Cruz. Our goal is to bring the greater dance community to our town so we can share our love of hip-hop dance with Santa Cruz. We need as many donations as we can to make this show possible and for the legacy of Haluan to continue for many years to come.
