The UC Santa Cruz Women’s Club Soccer team is a self-run collegiate club soccer team that has been bringing a competitive level of play to UC Santa Cruz since fall 2011. As a team, we play matches against various other collegiate club teams throughout California. We do everything for the team ourselves, including signing up for leagues, hiring coaches, running tryouts, etc. Because we are in the process of becoming an affiliated club team with UC Santa Cruz, we are currently still self-funded, leading us to seek funds to pay for league involvement, referees, our coach, transportation, gear, etc. We would also love the chance to be able to get new uniforms, as we are currently still using old uniforms from the NCAA women’s soccer team. As players passionate about soccer, we would love to have the opportunity to distinguish ourselves as a club team, and represent our school while playing the sport we love.
