The UC Santa Cruz Men's Water Polo Club is raising funds to support our mission to provide a competitive and educational community and outlet for athletes of all skill levels to learn, compete, and enjoy the sport of water polo. We are seeking to raise $20,000 to fully or partially cover club and team expenses including: a coaching stipend, competition fees, travel expenses (including a team trip to New York in fall 2016 to compete at the Division III Collegiate Club National Championship Tournament), and team equipment (we will have to replace our current set of competition water polo caps, as well as purchase new balls for practice). Our organization serves over 30 active athletes, and we expect the number of active participants to climb in the coming years due to increasing enrollment at UC Santa Cruz. Our members are from various backgrounds and include skill levels from the very beginner, former competitive swimmers, those who played in high school, former Division I NCAA athletes, and those who have won national championships in past years. We would love to be able to continue to serve our members by financially providing them the organization, structure, environment, and team to continue their athletic pursuits in the sport of water polo.
