Smith Renaissance Society

The Smith Renaissance Society is a cross-generational community that serves UC Santa Cruz students who lack the traditional family support afforded most of their peers. We provide academic, social, and financial support to aid in the navigation of the higher education system. One critical resource we strive to provide to our students is secure and safe housing, which is challenging during the summer months and holidays due to campus closures. By contributing to the Smith Renaissance Society today, you are helping to ensure our students have a safe place to live and thrive.
