For more than 50 years, students and community members have come to the CASFS Farm and Garden to learn about agroecology and sustainable food systems, but COVID-19 meant we had to close these beloved sites to the public and cancel most of our programming for 16 months, resulting in the loss of over $700,000 in income. Without interns, apprentices, or volunteers in 2020 and 2021, our student staff have been vital in maintaining the Farm and Garden. Our student staff members learn about agroecology and food systems change, experience growing and providing nutritious food for their fellow students, and gain valuable leadership skills. You can help support the Farm and Garden and the CASFS educational programming that takes place in these sites by donating today to help fund student staff positions.
With your help, we can raise $12,000 to fund one student staff member for the coming year. Thank you for your support!
