Games, now more than ever, have the power to impact lives. Help us make sure more perspectives are included in the game development world!
Games and play open people up to new experiences and invite them to see things in new ways by engaging through action, perception, and dynamic responses to dynamic systems. The Ludo Lab at UCSC works to provide access to tools and skill-building for a wide variety of students who are traditionally underrepresented in the games and tech industries, and who are often marginalized or excluded from discussions about the nature of innovation itself.
In the GameGO program students in Art and Design: Games and Playable Media receive scholarships to work through the summer in an incubator setting to further develop a game made during the year, with the aim to reach high-quality standards of polish for commercialization on popular publishing platforms.
By donating, you are saying "YES!" to supporting new perspectives in games. The money you give, no matter how small, will support young people making games & sharing them with the world. Your donation will go directly to scholarships and programs that will allow students to create a completed game that they can be proud of, the single-most important item in their portfolio as they launch their game development careers.
