Rocket Team

The UCSC Rocket Team is a student-run organization participating in the annual NASA Student Launch Initiative—building small rocketships to meet specific design and performance criteria, and then demonstrating and competing with other schools at NASA’s Launch Week in Alabama.

Our team relies on donations to construct and launch the high-powered rockets. We are a passionate group of students from across campus and many majors, that works together to study and understand rocket science and to share that knowledge with the local community.

Your gift on Giving Day will provide us with the funding to design and build our rocket—you can help us “reach for the stars” and benefit from the extensive hands-on learning and problem-solving that comes from participating in this amazing program. Please consider supporting us on November 3rd.
