For the past 50 years, Grupo Folklorico Los Mejicas has produced annual Spring Shows to present the regional dances of Mexico that are learned throughout the school year. Our spring showcases allow students to proudly express their culture to UC Santa Cruz and the greater Santa Cruz community through the power of dance and song. By donating to us, you are helping to keep alive one of the longest-standing student-run ethnic organizations on campus! 

We recognize the importance that cultural groups hold on this campus. By empowering spaces for folks of color to come together, we aim to build community and retention spaces for all of our students. To empower our communities, we must focus on securing a strong foundation for our group’s longevity. As we enter our 51st year on campus, we hope to continue crafting and showing off our culture with love and power, and with your donation, we can do just that. 

Your donations will go toward making wardrobe repairs, getting new wardrobe, ensuring our venue for the Spring Show on campus, funding transportation, and more. We strive to provide our members with everything they need so that no student needs to worry about buying their own wardrobe or other necessities out of pocket.

Any and all donations are strongly welcome, and we thank you for choosing to help us continue the legacy that Mejicas has left for hundreds of its members. Thank you!
