Miss out on the Giving Day fun? You can still be part of our big day by making a gift here!
Latino Alumni Network (LAN)

In 2022, nearly 15% of UCSC Alumni identify as Chicano/a or Latino/a. That is over 20,000 proud Banana Slugs impacting their communities worldwide.

Nuestra comunidad es más fuerte que nu
nca.

The Latino Alumni Network (LAN) enhances the academic progress and professional development of UC Santa Cruz students, faculty, administrators, and alumni interested in Latino issues or providing service to Latino communities. The LAN endowment sponsors scholarships, internships, and mentorships, fosters greater communication among alumni, faculty, students, and staff, and participates in discussions of policies affecting Chicanx and Latinx constituents at the University. Over LANs 20+ year history, one thing remains strong – their commitment to each other, students, and the University.

Please consider joining us during this year's UCSC Day of Giving and make a gift to the LAN Endowment - the fund to support and serve Latino communities at UCSC. Your donation will continue to build this crucial fund and provide lasting support for our students, faculty, administrators, and alumni.

What is the LAN Endowment?

Funded by a collection of UCSC alumni volunteers in 2000, the LAN Endowment supports various projects across campus supporting Chicano/a & Latino/a students, faculty, staff, and alumni. Donations for the endowment help increase the annual payout to support this crucial work.

What is the impact of my gift?
A gift to the LAN endowment is an investment in the long-term success of the Latinx Alumni Network. Your donation will be used to grow a fund that supports teaching, research, public service, alumni activities, and other initiatives. The LAN endowment has supported mentorship programs, internships, student stipends, research, alumni activities, and other enrichment programs for Chicano/a & Latino/a students.

Join hundreds of other Latino alumni and me today and make a gift to the Latino Alumni Network- allowing us to continue uplifting the Chicano & Latino community at UCSC.
