The Brain, Mind, and Consciousness Society is a student-run interdisciplinary organization dedicated to connecting perspectives. Because we saw such a disparity of intersectional learning, we wanted to bring this to an academic setting. We are one of the select organizations on campus that started a student-facilitated class. We began with 25 students and 3 student-teachers 5 years ago. Now we have developed into a 90-student class with 10 student-teachers and a faculty mentor who contributes to our project. To keep this lineage alive, we seek funding to pay our faculty mentor $10,000 each year. Having a facilitator has allowed us to fine-tune our teaching and communication skills to create a truly impactful experience. Your help allows us to carry on this consciousness.
