Who the S-lab is:
The Sustainability-lab is a center for student ingenuity and leadership in sustainable design and holistic innovation. Students from different disciplines and majors form project teams to tackle societal challenges and develop practical solutions.
What we do:
We provide support for teams to thrive: facilities and equipment for design, prototyping and fabrication; community and industry mentorship; and workshops specifically tailored for accelerated learning in the different areas of sustainability. Our goal is to help create a campus community where students can work, fabricate, play, and innovate together with other environmentally and socially-minded colleagues.
What your gift will achieve:
Your contribution will help support multidisciplinary teams pushing the boundaries of renewable energy, urban food systems, water security, sustainable agriculture and beyond. Funding will go to covering student project supplies, such as microcontrollers or photovoltaic panels, specialty test equipment, and training. Please refer to our website for more detailed description of the teams and projects: https://slab.sites.ucsc.edu
