We are a nonprofit, student-run club that includes practitioners ranking all the way up to 3rd Dan black belt. Native to Korea, Tae Kwon Do is a martial art primarily focused on techniques utilizing legs. Kicks, stances, and footwork are all vital to developing a strong foundation in Tae Kwon Do. Aside from physical conditioning, Tae Kwon Do focuses on cultivating the mind and body as one, to be able to instinctively apply these techniques. In the five years we have been a club, we have managed to multiply our club attendance, coordinate with various student organizations on campus, hold multiple demonstrations both on-campus and off-campus, manage several fundraisers, and cultivate lifelong friendships. We are raising money to keep our club free for all students, update and replace old equipment, and start the transition toward becoming a competitive sports club.
