NASA University Launch Competition
The funds raised go toward materials for our outreach events at local schools and, more importantly, toward the assembly of our massive 15-foot reusable rocket. This year, NASA tasked our team with creating a solution to landing on other planets. Once designed, manufactured, and tested, the team will travel to Huntsville, Alabama, where we'll put our rocket through its paces, competing with more than 50 other collegiate teams from across the nation.
Project ARA (NEW in 2024)
Your contribution will be instrumental in furthering the research, development, and implementation of ARA, an advanced Thrust Vector Controlled Rocket. Align with us in elevating the standards of rocket engineering through the capabilities of TVC.
The Thrust Vectoring Control (TVC) system in ARA represents a significant stride in modern aerospace engineering. By integrating servos and maneuverability within the propulsion system, ARA achieves unparalleled thrust vector redirection capabilities. This innovative approach allows for intricate trajectory adjustments, enabling the rocket to execute precise lateral maneuvers before re-establishing its primary course. While the system operates in a neutrally stable environment, the incorporation of a closed-loop control mechanism ensures constant and precise trajectory corrections, optimizing flight stability and accuracy.
