Slug Security: UCSC's premier student-led cybersecurity club

Slug Security is a student-led club of over 500 students with the mission to create a community for learning cybersecurity at UCSC. We are a group of hackers and developers passionate about cybersecurity. We break things for fun and to sharpen our skills in areas such as reverse engineering, binary exploitation, cryptography, and more. Our goal is to foster a passion for cybersecurity among UCSC students!   

 Your support ensures that:

  1.   Hands-on Workshops have the best tools, equipping students with practical skills and expertise.
  2.   National Competitions remain accessible, allowing us to showcase our school's talent, provide students with real life practice, and increase UCSC's visibility in the cybersecurity job market.
  3.   Educational Resources are updated and expanded, ensuring all members stay at the forefront of cybersecurity knowledge.
  4.   Club Projects, focusing on areas like malware development, network security, cryptography, and AI security, are equipped with the necessary supplies to continue to offer hands-on experience in cutting-edge domains.

In addition to our regular events, we also aim to organize socials, member presentations, guest speaker sessions, career panels, and more. Our club is not just about learning; it's a community for those passionate about the world of hacking.

Your support can pave the way for members to represent UCSC in top-tier cybersecurity competitions like MITRE eCTF, CPTC, and CCDC. It also provides opportunities for our members to network with international security experts at renowned conferences like Black Hat and DEFCON, granting them exposure to the latest cutting-edge research, developments, and trends.
