Support the Waterfall Scholarship and help make a difference in the lives of the students who need it the most.
The Waterfall Scholarship provides need-based scholarships for undergraduate students to assist with the cost of attendance at UC Santa Cruz. Cost of attendance includes tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, transportation, personal expenses, campus health insurance, etc. Each recipient receives a renewable award of at least $5,000. The intent of this fund is to increase the diversity of the student population on campus and help enable students to graduate.
Join us in changing lives and DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT! An anonymous donor will match every dollar donated on Giving Day up to $20,000.
Meet one of the recent scholarship recipients, Jasmin:
“I am a first-generation college student and grew up in south central LA where there is a lot of violence. When I first visited UCSC, I fell in love with it. I really wanted to go here because of the nature and animals. I used to hear the constant sound of sirens and helicopters, but now I hear birds chirping. When I first got to UCSC I was stressing about my loans. Instead of focusing on school, I was thinking about how I need to go find a job and save up. Then I received this scholarship and everything changed. I am just so, so grateful. I worry way less about the future and having to stop my education to work to pay back loans. I can get involved in clubs and internships. I can think about grad school.”
