When the Chancellor receives an urgent request to support an area of greatest need—student, project or program—he turns to the UCSC Fund.
A gift to the area of greatest need is the most flexible kind of support and enables the Chancellor to respond to requests quickly. Some of the ways in which the funds are currently being distributed include:
Internships: Students and faculty are paired up in these programs to allow for hands-on, interactive, and in-depth assistance in their area of focus. Some of the programs include public outreach, veterans, and environmental conservation activities.
Student Groups: These student-led programs allow participants to not only build community, but to grow in their leadership, responsibility, and overall understanding of different aspects of campus.
Excellence Across Campus: from athletic needs to innovative campus education, these programs can be found growing and thriving across campus.
Today's matching gift of $5,000 has been met! Let's keep the support going!
