The UCSC NCAA Women's Soccer Team competes each year as a member of the Division III Association of Independents. For the past two years we have had the opportunity to advance to the NCAA championship tournament, and in 2016 our senior captain was named a West Region NSCAA All-American. Our three senior captains all garnered Scholar All-Region Honors, so the Slugs are showing leadership in the classroom as well as on the field, serving as great role models for future Slugs! For the past six years, the team has earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award, this year for a cumulative GPA of 3.24, which is the highest UC women's soccer GPA. Because UCSC is an independent institution and not a member of a conference, our fall schedule requires us to travel near and far, and we raise funds for more than 80 percent of our budget in order to do so. Your contribution on Giving Day keeps our team on the road and on the field, so we can compile a competitive schedule in our quest to qualify for NCAAs and represent our university on the national level. In 2017, we have a long road trip south planned to help us secure those DIII games, and your help will get us there! We thank you for your support! Go Slugs!
