Ice hockey has finally arrived at UC Santa Cruz! For our inaugural season, we had a very diverse group that consisted of 19 student players representing eight colleges and nine different degree programs. Our goal for next season is to get more of the student body involved. The ice hockey team is open to all students and all skill levels. We focus on skills development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We currently play competitively in the Pacific College Hockey Association against other California universities such as Stanford and UC Santa Barbara. League fees, practice ice time, and home game fees are very expensive and ended up costing each player around $1,300 for the 2016–17 season. This is too expensive for most college students, and that's why we need your help. Your donations will lower the cost for each player, allowing more students to participate in this amazing sport. Follow the Slugs Hockey Club on Facebook and come support the team when we take on San Francisco State at the SAP Center on March 17.
