We are raising money to fund a dinner to honor and appreciate the academic and/or community achievements of Afrikan/black male–identified people on campus.
Established in 1997, Black Sistahs United's mission is to retain African American women and men at the University of California Santa Cruz though sisterhood, community service, and the education of black women—past and present.
Our project is aimed at recognizing individuals who are a part of our campus community. This is a biannual event to increase retention of black men as well as create a more accepting space for black men on this campus.
This is our seventh time hosting this event. Your donation will further our organization's mission to retain and serve black-identified individuals on the UCSC campus.
