The mission of the African American Resource and Cultural Center (AARCC) is to provide support for the students in the African/Black and Caribbean (ABC) communities at the University of California at Santa Cruz. AARCC provides a wide range of support, resources, and programs for students from the African diaspora at UCSC. We are constantly aiming to evolve our programming around the growing needs of our students.
AARCC's Career Transition Program aims to bridge the gap between graduation and the time when students step into early career positions. The Career Transition Program will consist of trainings that are open to all students, financial support for Professional Development for ABC Students, and Career Transition Toolboxes.
The Career Transition Toolboxes will be awarded to students who engage with AARCC through employment or volunteering. Each box will vary based on engagement, but could contain items such as:
Funding from the Spring Give will allow us to launch this initiative and create a funding pot for this program. Our Reach Goal for this project is $10,000 and we have tiered out what different levels can yield us.
Every dollar counts! No donation is too small.
If we want to go fast, we go alone; but to go far, we must go together.
