The UC Santa Cruz Women's Club Water Polo team consists of a dedicated and diverse group of players who all share a love of the sport. We are an all-inclusive team, welcoming players of all skill levels and water polo backgrounds, allowing us to foster a strong network of friendships that have had a positive impact on the college experience of all members. Seven years ago, we lost funding for the team due to budget cuts, and had to move from NCAA to club in order to continue as a team. Because of this, we are now self-funded, and rely on fundraising and donations in order to keep our program alive. This year our team is the largest it’s been since the loss of school funding, and this proves that there is potential for our team to carry on many years into the future. However, having a large team has made travel expenses drastically higher. While we want to remain an all inclusive team, we need help to do so. Any funds raised will help pay for new game caps, as well as offset the cost of tournament fees and travel. We're more than just a team, we are a family, and any donations allow us to continue to build the water polo community at UC Santa Cruz.Thank you for your support, and for helping us to continue to play the sport that we love.
