Kresge Presents PRIDE at UCSC
Our Kresge Presents PRIDE event is a largely student-run event associated with the Kresge College Programs Office. It is UCSC’s largest annual queer gathering on campus, consisting of a march and a festival. It focuses on the recognition of LGBTQIA+ identity and serves as a celebration of visibility, dignity, and diversity in our community at UCSC. Each year, we lead a campuswide march with 5-minute activity stops at the residential colleges, followed by a 3-hour festival. This year will be the 17th anniversary of the event and it will follow the theme of “Rock the Rainbow.”
Event Details:
- Date: Saturday, May 11
- March Time: 10:00am–2:00pm
- Festival Time: 2:00pm–5:00pm
- Location: Quarry Amphitheater
- Theme: Rock the Rainbow!
As mentioned, this year will be the 17th time we are hosting this event. For the past 17 years we've been fostering a safe, fun, and celebratory environment for LGBTQIA+ individuals on campus through Kresge Presents PRIDE. We have an extensive planning and budgeting process to ensure a successful event every year, and always strive to make new improvements every coming year. We hope that you would consider supporting our event (any amount helps), so that we can provide more resources and food for the 450 students we anticipate attending our event this year! Thank you for your support and please come celebrate with us!
