WiSE (Women in Science and Engineering)
Support WiSE's Initiative to Provide Free Period Products on Campus!

WiSE is on a mission to encourage UC Santa Cruz to provide free period products in restrooms across the university! Recent legislation has required California public schools and universities to provide free menstrual products (AB 367), however, access to free supplies on our campus remains highly limited and only present in select restrooms. Period products are a basic need for all menstruators, and increased accessibility is a necessity. 


Since November 2022, WiSE has been providing free, high quality and biodegradable period products to buildings on Science Hill, including Biomedical Sciences, Sinsheimer, and Physical Sciences buildings. By logging weekly usage and restocking data, we plan to produce a budget estimate to use when proposing this basic needs project to the university.


Your support during the Spring Give would allow us to continue providing free period products in public restrooms on campus and to expand our initiative further. Donations will also be used to host period destigmatization events similar to our Galentine's Day event we had this February to increase awareness for this topic and gain support for bringing this to the attention of UC Santa Cruz.
