UCSC Ice Hockey Club

Come support the growing sport of ice hockey at UC Santa Cruz!

We are a student-run and majority player-funded club that just completed our inaugural year back in a competitive league. We are an ACHA D2 team competing in the West Coast Hockey Conference, North Division alongside UC Davis, Santa Clara University, and Santa Rosa JC. As the newest addition to the league, we are adjusting to the competitive atmosphere and are looking for all the support we can get. Ice hockey is already one of the most expensive sports—due to the lack of an ice rink in the Santa Cruz area, the cost of travel around the Bay Area adds up quickly. The closest rink is a 45-60 minute drive to San Jose, so it can be difficult. However, our team is composed of dedicated players willing to do whatever it takes. We are looking forward to our first official season affiliated with the school's athletic department during the 2023-24 school year, and can't wait for what the future holds.
