On the Spot
Support OTS During the Spring Give!

On the Spot (OTS) is a sketch comedy organization, where we produce a certain amount of comedy short films/sketches per quarter. We decide on what we'll produce based on what the current members are interested in. At the end of the quarter, we screen them at a film festival hosted by SCTV (Student Cable Television), which is our umbrella organization.

In OTS, we strive to form a community where people can have fun and make something funny in the process. No experience is required to join, and everyone gets equal opportunities to participate in the production of our sketches in any role they desire, regardless of experience level. In winter quarter, we produced a "finding Bigfoot" sketch, a hot dog eating contest sketch, and a cooking show sketch; all of which will be posted to our Youtube channel, which is linked at the bottom.

Outside of our sketches, we hold events and activities, where members can engage with each other and with the leaders. These events/activities include, but are not limited to: jeopardy night, our 24 hour film jam (where participants need to make a film in 24 hours in the Student Media Press Center), and more.

A majority of our members said that they've had great experiences in OTS. To keep this enjoyment going (and to increase it possibly), we need your support. Your donations towards OTS can go to various things including: food for members on set, supplies for events, a prop desperately needed on set, and so much more! If anything we've said about OTS interests you, please donate today!
