Slug Bike Life

Biking. It's a Slug way of life.

Slug Bike Life was founded in 2020 by a CalTrans Active Transportation grant. Through the program, we provide free biking resources to UCSC affiliates including free helmet and light giveaways, safety education, mechanic checks, educational group rides, e-bike education and test rides...and more!

Our funding from Caltrans does not cover the high-quality lights and helmets that we provide. These resources are critical for helping affiliates bike safely and give them more confidence on a bike. We have relied on donations from bike shops, but after 3 years, donations have dwindled. Your support helps maintain this impactful program.
